310 – T-minus 60 days
Woah! I missed a month. Really. June seemed to be non-existent for me. I forgot to print out a new calender for work and home until about 2/3′s through the month, I didn’t post but once….I don’t really remember much of what happened in June…..weird.
Anywho – 60 days until Dragon*Con. YAY! And at the same time – YIKES!!! I am running out of time. I better kick up the costume making notch a bit!!
I’m currently working on Visas Marr.
I’ve got the under dress made. It needs to be finished – taken in around the waist, more full at the bottom, sleeves shortened. The black over dress is finished (yay!) I am working on the head piece. I have the gloves, but I need to add the silver bands. Also, I have the light saber made and mostly finished. Also, I need to ad the gold trim/decoration to the bottom of the head piece and sleeves. Finally – I need to find boots.
I mean, really, how hard should it be to find black flat boots?? Well, very easy, but they are SUPER expensive! I found a pair online, only $1,195.00. Really….that’s over my mortgage! For a pair of boots!!? But, I have 1 piece of the costume finished and ready to go.
Anywho, I have been (trying to as best as I can) to take pictures as I go. I’ll add them up as soon as I can.
After I finish Visas, I’ll be working on a pretty Victorian dress. It isn’t anyone special, just pretty. AND I’m not going to make it in black. it is actually going to be this pretty pink and off white and stripes. It’s hard to explain, so you’ll just have to see. Finally, I’ll be making Catti-Brie unless I order headtails. At which point, I’ll be trying to squeeze in Koyi.
Also, I will be making Obi-Wan for Ken, and helping whom ever else needs it to finish theirs. So, as you can see, 60 days is not very long. So, enough of me typing…back to work I go! The gold trim is not going to paint itself. Though I really wish it would.
