Dragon*Con: T-Minus 358 days
I am not going to count down until next years Dragon*Con (Labor Day weekend, September 3-6).
We made it back late Monday night. I had a blast! We arrived in Atlanta on Thursday afternoon and proceeded to pick up our badges. We waited in line for about 2 hours, but it was worth it.
Friday, Matt was dressed as the Rodian Jedi:
He got picture whored to the max!! Everyone wanted to take his picture. I know he was LOVING it. I got my picture taken because I was wearing a shiny short dress. The wig for Jane Jetson did not look good so I went without. It’s okay.
Saturday was the parade and lots of panels. We partied like it was the last night on Aldarearn on Saturday night and there was even some Lightsaber Limbo. Let me say, it was a blast!! Sunday we saw Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner crashed his panel. I was happy just seeing Nimoy. But, Shatner will be Shatner. Monday was a great wind-down day. We still had a lot going on, but it was great!
Our hotel was awesome! We were next door to the Sheraton (which is one of the Con host-hotels) and it was just a few blocks from the other host hotels. It was amazing being able to go back to the room to put down stuff or change or take a nap (which I did not do). And the room was cheap. I say cheap in the sense we had 2 rooms for 5 nights divided by 8 people. It wasn’t the Ritz, but we had plenty of space for sleeping and changing. I decided that I won Dragon*Con because for the most part, I was the last one in, and the first one up. By won, I mean one who slept the least
I really could go on and on. I’m going to stop here so I can go “One-time-at-Dragon*Con…” in my other posts! BUT, check out all the awesome costumes:
I took random pictures with my phone and uploaded those directly to Facebook, so feel free to check those out too!
